5 Things I Want This Week: Early Fall
Forget champagne and countdowns. Fashion's New Year is fall, and the ball drop is my September issue hitting the doormat. Like any good New Year, it comes with resolutions.
I’ve always found it telling that the industry runs on a calendar that starts in September. For most of us, that’s when life actually resets anyway. New classes, new jobs, new apartments, new coats!
Getting dressed in the fall is also a different intellectual exercise. Fall is full of composition. Suddenly there are more layers to arrange and textures to argue with. Whether it’s a suede bag against faded denim or a studded loafer under a slouchy trouser, I am SO ready for fall fashion.
This week I have included some exciting new discoveries from brands like Demellier London and Hadley Greene, which have been on my radar with their new launches. Hadley Greene, specifically, rocked the scene with her Dillards collaboration full of gorgeous maximalist embroidery that is unmistakably her.
Let’s indulge!
A work of art.
HUGE Adrian Cashmere fan (shoutout CUFS)!!! Loving this zipper design and funnel neck.
Love this silhouette and worn-in look
Sleek addition to a simple outfit.
Hadley Greene just released her own line in collaboration with Dillards (underrated apparently), and I am in love with everything. From the swan motifs to these sickening riding boots, the line is simultaneously classic and funky.
Enjoy the last few days of lawn sits in cardigans before the impeding doom that is the winter!
More soon on my Etsy finds for halloween and beyond, with loads of antique chatelaine pieces and chunky chokers!
Xoxo,
Annie
