Surfer Girl Summer
Growing up, I idolized the Roxy-wearing surfer girls who lived in board shorts and a bikini top, had bleach blonde hair and a permanent tan. Alana Blanchard and Coco Ho were, and still are, the blueprints. I rewatched Blue Crush and Soul Surfer at least ten times each, and collected the magazines from Banzai Bowls to tape on my walls. The endless summer, carefree aesthetic has sold for ages because of its effortlessness. This summer, it seems to be ramping up even harder from California to the south of France.
